Adrian Chen of Gawker writes that “tech news is so phenomenally boring”. A story of mine, Facebook’s iPad app being hidden inside of the iPhone app, is the prime example used.
Nevermind that Chen is complaining about tech news not really being “news” while writing a story that is even less…

Today, I’m announcing my intention to leave ReadWriteWeb. My last day will be August 6th.
It’s incredibly sad to be leaving behind what has been the best job I ever had, so know that I did not make the decision lightly. To ReadWriteWeb’s editor, Richard MacManus, I owe so much. He gave me my…

tjholowaychuk:
Today I am releasing Nib, an extensions library for Stylus, inspired by the SASS compass library. Nib is a very new library with a minimal feature set at the moment, however I need to get some of my semi-finished projects open-sourced to make way for bigger badder things, and I’m already…

Twitter API Changes, All Non-Twitter Clients Hosed
stoweboyd:
Well, at least the few non-Twitter clients I have — Tweetings, Destroy Twitter — no longer display direct messages. The chatter at the Destroy Twitter discussions is that Twitter changed their APIs, and all the non-Twitter clients will need to be updated. On the 4th of July weekend, no less.

I am very excited to be preparing for a talk at the Turing Festival in Edinburgh (last week of August). The subject, not surprisingly, will be “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet - how the Internet will transform business, government and society.” I love that Vint Cerf used “You Ain’t Seen Nothing Yet”…
